Christmas, Camps, and more…

0

We are so filled with joy by what God has done in our lives this year.  I speak for myself, as well as the community of children in Los Brasiles that have seen a huge wave of opportunity enter into their lives as a result of God’s work over the past 9 months.  I have always had an enormous feeling of excitement around Christmas, but there is something about being with the kids and getting the chance to bring them wonderful gifts from God that makes it all the more special for me.  We just returned from an amazing 3 days at Campo Allegria in Rivas on the lake of Nicaragua where 35 kids were treated as kings with buffet meals, christmas gifts, and games.  There is no better gift for me than to see the faces of these children as they come to life after getting them away from the darkness of their own homes.

I’d like to take this opportunity to give thanks for all of the visitors and help that God has sent to us this year.  From websites to construction teams we have been abundantly provided for.  It is beautiful to be able to teach the kids and adults in the community about faith by sharing with them that we will wait on God, and through prayer we can see His faithfulness.  Many of you have been obedient in sharing resources and time.  We have only begun the work in Los Brasiles, and so I’d like to ask for your ongoing prayers for God’s favor as we fight to bring the light into darkness.  One of the verses that the kids memorized this week at camp was John 8:12 “I am the light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  I celebrate the wonderful light of our lives, Jesus Christ, and I pray that you will all be blessed by sharing in the story that God is telling through this ministry.
