]]> http://imagineministry.org/pre-school-growing-fast/feed/ 0 Benefit Concert Planned for April! http://imagineministry.org/benefit-concert-planned-for-april/ http://imagineministry.org/benefit-concert-planned-for-april/#comments Thu, 11 Mar 2010 20:02:37 +0000 Coburn Murray http://imagineministry.org/?p=233 Imagine Ministry is celebrating it’s 2 year birthday in April and is making plans to host a Christian Benefit Concert in downtown Raleigh.  We are working on planning the event right now.  We are excited about the participation of several local Churches, and are looking at April 11 or April 25 for the event at the famed Lincoln Theater.   Join us in prayer for the event that God would lead many people to join us for worship and to learn more about his hand on Nicaragua.  The many exciting things that I have experienced over the last several months have confirmed the calling God has in my life.  I am praying that the same calling would be revealed to many young people during this season, and that on the day of this concert we would be blessed to experience the presence of God in a way that we are transformed forever.  As I look back over the last two years I am blown away at the grace shown to me in building Imagine Ministry.  There seems now way to describe the leadership that has been provided by God in doing something that I would have never imagined doing.  I will post an update soon, and should you want to get involved with helping out just let me know by sending me an email.  Thanks and God Bless!

]]> http://imagineministry.org/benefit-concert-planned-for-april/feed/ 0 Haiti Rescue Mission! http://imagineministry.org/haiti-rescue-mission/ http://imagineministry.org/haiti-rescue-mission/#comments Mon, 15 Feb 2010 19:07:56 +0000 Coburn Murray http://imagineministry.org/?p=219 Last week I was blessed with the opportunity to join some friends from TN on an emergency trip to Port De Piex Haiti.  This city on the Northwest coast is the home to the Latchbrook Family Ministry.  The Latchbrook’s have been serving the needs of Haiti for over 13 years.  After the recent Earthquake there has been great suffering all over Haiti.  Many thousands of people have made there way out of Port Au Prince to other municipal regions where they seek medical attention and better living conditions.  For years the Latchbrook’s orphanage, school, and Church have been run with limited resources.  After the Earthquake God blessed the adoption process of 41 children who were immediately cleared to go to the U.S. This opened up space for many more children to come into a new home with the Latchbrook’s.  God began sending children and by the end of the week many of the slots had been filled.  The reality is that there are so many needs in Haiti right now that we can only rely on God and His power to meet those needs.  There were miracles apon miracles as we prayed with the sick and suffering.  I was witness to God’s healing hand on many occassions.  The Church had to be condemned after the Earthquake and so for the entire week a revival was held outdoors under the stars.  I learned that even in the face of human suffering God is worthy of all praise.  He has not forgotten His children, and in Haiti there are thousand of people that now recognize Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savior!

]]> http://imagineministry.org/haiti-rescue-mission/feed/ 2 Christmas, Camps, and more… http://imagineministry.org/christmas-camps-and-more/ http://imagineministry.org/christmas-camps-and-more/#comments Fri, 11 Dec 2009 15:51:43 +0000 Coburn Murray http://imagineministry.org/?p=205 We are so filled with joy by what God has done in our lives this year.  I speak for myself, as well as the community of children in Los Brasiles that have seen a huge wave of opportunity enter into their lives as a result of God’s work over the past 9 months.  I have always had an enormous feeling of excitement around Christmas, but there is something about being with the kids and getting the chance to bring them wonderful gifts from God that makes it all the more special for me.  We just returned from an amazing 3 days at Campo Allegria in Rivas on the lake of Nicaragua where 35 kids were treated as kings with buffet meals, christmas gifts, and games.  There is no better gift for me than to see the faces of these children as they come to life after getting them away from the darkness of their own homes.

I’d like to take this opportunity to give thanks for all of the visitors and help that God has sent to us this year.  From websites to construction teams we have been abundantly provided for.  It is beautiful to be able to teach the kids and adults in the community about faith by sharing with them that we will wait on God, and through prayer we can see His faithfulness.  Many of you have been obedient in sharing resources and time.  We have only begun the work in Los Brasiles, and so I’d like to ask for your ongoing prayers for God’s favor as we fight to bring the light into darkness.  One of the verses that the kids memorized this week at camp was John 8:12 “I am the light of the world, Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  I celebrate the wonderful light of our lives, Jesus Christ, and I pray that you will all be blessed by sharing in the story that God is telling through this ministry.
